Water / Dumping ground engineeringThe main challenge to a product being applied in the construction of waterproof linings, dams and dumping grounds is to secure the slopes demanded by this architecture. Extreme slopes are no problem to TECHNOCEL, TECHNOCEL 1004-G or TOPCEL stabilised asphalt. MotorwayIncreasing traffic loads demand for economical solutions. Stone mastic asphalt (SMA) - stabilised with TECHNOCEL, TECHNOCEL 1004-G or TOPCEL - is just one example. The importance of SMA in road construction has risen increasingly over the past years, not only because of its high cost efficiency. The advantage is the extreme adjustment of the product to any climatic conditions. Its universal application is underlined by projects on all continents in the world. Through modification of the asphalt with GENICEL SMA offers an additional protection against a considerable accident risk: grooves. They affect the driving behaviour, lead to water assemblies and promote the so called aquaplaning effect. Recently, porous asphalts providing noise reducing effects as well driving safety have proven a success. This protective function is achieved by mixing asphalt with TECHNOCEL, TECHNOCEL 1004-G or TOPCEL. Intersections and Bus StopsHeavy braking as well as standing still of vehicles leads to additional load on the asphalt in intersection and bus stop areas. This often leads to grooves and aquaplaning effects. Therefore, e.g., road areas were especially stabilised with stone mastic asphalt, to which TECHNOCEL, TECHNOCEL 1004-G or TOPCEL was added. An asphalt modified with GENICEL is extremely resistant to deformation. Racing CircuitsRacing circuits - such as, e.g. in the Formula 1 and for the Grand Prix - have increasingly become projects of prestige, that are subject to extremely high requirements. In this field CFF offers experience with regard to material design for maintenance as well as with regard to the extension of racing circuits. So, e.g., laying TOPCEL - SMA leads to long life improvement at extremely short service interruption. |
