![]() TECHNOCEL-fibers are highly economical additives for universal application in the chemical industry Application of ecologically sound raw materials becomes more and more important to the chemical industry. The artificial leather industry has accepted its responsibility, too, and profits increasingly from the progress made in this field. Modern artificial leather clothing is trendy and more than just a cheap alternative to the usually costly leather clothing. For this reason manufacturers just as consumers apply high standards to a qualitatively high value, breathable artificial leather. Application of our additive TECHNOCEL has proven a success in the manufacture of such modern products. Apart from this TECHNOCEL is, of course, also used in the classic chemical applications: ranging from thermo-/thermosetting plastics and carbonless copy paper to welding electrodes. But it is also suited for application as carrier, e.g., for enzymes. TECHNOCEL offers numerous different application possibilities and always meets the high requirements. It is made from pulp, which is selected according to the specific criteria related to the later application, mechanically disintegrated and only after a hard final control released for production. Just have a look at the many different application possibilities given in the following descriptions. Welding electrodesWelding with stick electrodes still is one of the cheapeast processes in steel architecture. Electrodes with a high content of TECHNOCEL-fibers are mostly used for welding operations in difficult positions. They provide local excess pressure during the burning of the slag, thus pressing the liquefied metall into the welding seam. In addition, the CO2 developing during the burning process acts as inert gas and thereby prevents oxydation and thus weakening of the welding seam. Advantages:

Carbonless copy papers TECHNOCEL is applied in carbonless copy papers in order to achieve a clear type face. In the production process it provides an even coating and allows high production speeds. Furthermore, application of TECHNOCEL in carbonless copy papers has a positive effect on the drying behaviour and enables faster drying. Advantages:

Thermo- / thermosetting plastics TECHNOCEL-fibers also find specific application in plastics for considerable improvement of the final product's characteristics. Apart from this the application of TECHNOCEL-fibers in plastics provides a number of additional advantages:
Applications: vary from thermosetting plastics (Polyethylene, Polypropylene, Polyurethane, Polyvinylchloride, Polymer mixes) to thermoplastics (melamin resin, melamin / phenolic resin, polyester resin as well as carbamide -moulding materials). Polyurethane - Artificial leatherIn the so called wet process Polyurethane is initially dissolved in dimethylformamide (DMF). After adding TECHNOCEL-fibers the solution is applied onto a textile carrier and then dipped into a water bath. During this dipping process the DMF is then replaced by water. This is where the cellulose has a decisive influence as "capillary agent" through its fiber structure. The artificial leather thus produced also has an improved vapour permeability as well as excellent mechanical properties. Advantages:
