Bitumen applications

Cellulose fibres are used in various bituminous applications.

Applications range from medium-viscous spray- and paintable masses to roof coverings, bituminous grouting masses, expansion tapes to sound-dampening sheets. TECHNOCEL^® fibres act as a multi-functional filler that improves the processing properties and increases thermal stability of the final bitumen mix and furthermore act as a crack inhibitor.

The end product is stabilised using the thickening effect of TECHNOCEL^® fibres. Manufacturers around the world have been able to successfully replace the health-hazardous asbestos by using TECHNOCEL^® cellulose fibres.
